I was watching my friend's pet lizard for a week and I decided to take the opportunity to use my creativity and my camera. I just used the heat lamp for lighting and a little Aperture light for fill. There was no planning. I didn't even take him out of his habitat. I just shot through the glass and the heat lamp acted as a perfect spotlight while the background remained dark. I spent some time darkening the background further in photoshop and used some color grading.
I think it's funny that I've traveled many places and yet some of my best work was taken without even leaving the house
